Tyga was born as Michael Stevenson in Compton, California on Nov. 19th, 1989; his race is Jamaican and Vietnamese.
He is related to Travis McCoy the lead singer of Gym Class Heroes. People saw Tyga as a child struggling to make it in Compton, California, until he started rapping when he was 12.
